for 5 to12 years old:

In partnership with the German International School Toronto (GIST), our German immersion camp will get your little one learning, practicing and improving their German language skills without even noticing!
Camp hours: 9 am - 4:30 pm / extended hours 8:00 am - 5:30 pm (additional fee)
Our GERMAN CAMP
Our German Camp is a multi-activity camp that offers a language-immersion program with the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Each day we spend time outdoors at nearby parks, splash pads, and on our field trips.

Indoors we play games, do arts & crafts, and learn about our weekly theme.

Our weekly themes allow us to dive into a topic for the week and have fun with it!
Our field trips to Toronto's main attractions are the highlight of the week!

And we do it all in GERMAN!

Our staff is German-speaking and speaks German with our campers all day during the activities, on field trips, at lunch, etc.

While some of our campers have extensive experience with German, others might be just at the beginning or understand German well, but don't speak it much (yet!). Everyone will fit in and we help out each camper as it most benefits them.

Q: Is this a language camp?
A: Yes and no. We don't provide the typical sit-down classroom-style language classes as you might imagine. At our German camp, campers learn the language in an immersive and fun way through play, stories, activities, etc. But we won't be studying in textbooks or write essays in German... :-)
Q: What if my child understands German but doesn't speak it?
A: Then this is the perfect camp for them! Being fully immersed with German-speaking staff and other campers, they will quickly pick up and start speaking the language. And with the right motivation, they can take it very far in just a few weeks.
Q: What if my child doesn't speak any German at all?
A: Some kind of connection or a little knowledge of German is certainly helpful to get the most out of the camp. However, all of our staff also speaks English and can always assist to make your child comfortable if they feel lost. If you are planning to send them to the German School in the fall, then the camp is certainly a great start!
