    10 things to do with kids for Halloween in Toronto

    If your kid is as excited as mine are, they can't wait for Halloween to happen. To create even more excitement, we put together a list of things to do with your little one leading up to the big day! Find here a curated list of 10 things to do in Toronto for Halloween this year!


    1. Halloween Nights of Life, Pumpkinville

    When? Until Oct 31st 2023.


    Where? Scarborough Town Centre, 500 Progress Ave.


    Event Features: a walk through of the lights (begins at 6:30 pm), pumpkin patch, real pumpkin sculptures, photo ops, amusement rides and games, food truck


    Tickets For Night of Lights & Pumpkinville: only sold online

    Adult Pass - $19.99

    Childrens pass - $14.99 (children 1 and under - free)

    2 adults and 2 children - $65


    Tickets for just Pumpkinville: $12.99 (only 2 hour slots)


    Pet Friendly Dates: 19,22,27 and 30




    2. Camp Spooky @ Canada Wonderland

    When? Weekends (21st-22nd & 28th-29th)


    Where? Canadas Wonderland


    Tickets: $44.99 (online) at gate is a bit more, Unless a person you are with has a season pass then it would be $29.99. Ages 2 and under are free.


    Event Details: Throughout Planet Snoopy, Kidzville and Frontier Canada the children will meet various characters. There is pumpkin decorating (at an additional cost) Trick or Treat Adventure, Sally’s Dance Party, Mazes


    Camp Spooky Shows: Charlie Browns Trick or Treat Show (arrive 15-30 minutes early) October 28th and 29th Doo Doo the Clown performs, PEANUTS costume party, The Pumpkin Patches (people singing halloween songs), Spooky Tales with Snoopy, Skele-Tunes, The Magic of Aaron Matthews (Oct 21&22)



    3. A Dazzling World of Lights

    When? Everyday except 16,19,23 and 24th of October


    Where? 7174 Derrycrest Drive, Mississauga L5W 0G5


    Tickets: Children - $14.99, General Admission- $22.95, Senior - $21.95, Children ages 2 and under are free


    Event Details: A light show, depending on the day you go can start anytime between 6:30-7. There are 14 universes to check out, each has its own theme, takes around 75 minutes to look around and take pictures



    4. Halloween at the Village

    When? Oct 21-22, 28-29 - 11am-4pm


    Where? Black Creek Pioneer Village, 1000 Murray Ross Parkway


    Tickets: Children(3-14) - $18, Senior/Student - $20, Adult $22. You can get tickets online but also available at the door.


    Event Details: Science show, help bring a pumpkin to life! Trick or Treating at the heritage buildings then you make your way to the village doctor learning about messy medicine. Learn the wonders of wizardry, fortune telling games, petrifying puppet show, making a monster mask and other halloween crafts and there are halloween themed carnival games



    5. Halloween Howl @ High Park

    When? October 28th 4-5:30 pm, 6-7:30 pm

    October 29th 1-2:30 pm, 3-4:30pm


    Where? High Park Nature Centre, 375 Colborne Lodge Drive


    Tickets: $15, free for children ages 3 and under


    Event Details: Starts off with a hike through the woodlands where you then learn about owls, spiders, bats, witch hazel trees and more. After the hike, you will warm up by the campfire and make Halloween themed art. They provide hot chocolate and marshmallows to roast.



    6. Riverside C’mon Sundays: Howl-O-Ween Mini Fest

    When? October 29th 11 am - 4 pm


    Where? Riverside Common Park, 657 Queen Street East


    Tickets: Free, but you have to reserve your spot online as there are a limited supply of things


    Event Details: Pumpkin patch grab and glam, live halloween themed music, halloween treats, face painting, haunted house and giveaways



    7. Pumpkinfest

    When? October 28th, 10am - 2pm

    Where? 3055 Bloor Street West (Our Lady of Sorrows Church)

    Tickets: Free Event Details: Prizes for best halloween costume, prizes for best pet costume, pumpkin decorating, face painting, balloon artist, trick or treating at participating stores, arts and craft activities alongside colouring. More info

    8. Halloween Haunt Up


    When? October 28th 11am - 6pm


    Where? Yonge Street between Roehampton Avenue and Glengrove Avenue


    Tickets: Free


    Event Details: Face painting, pumpkin carving, slime making, bouncy castle, sidewalk sale, live music, treats and giveaways, kids and pet costume contest



    9. St Joseph’s Halloween Fest


    When? October 29th 11am - 2pm


    Where? CF Sherway Gardens, Centre Court, 25 The West Mall


    Tickets: Free, if you go on the website you can secure your spot.


    Event Details: Trick or Treat Trail, story time with Indigo, bring your stuffies for a check up awarding prizes in 3 categories for best costume (best, scariest and funniest).



    10. Halloween Spooktacular @ Toronto Zoo


    When? October 21-22 & 28-29 from 11am-2pm


    Where? Toronto Zoo


    Tickets: Children (3-12) $19.04 but if they come in costume it’s 50% off admission when accompanied by an adult paying regular price.

    Children ages 2 and under are free

    Adult (13-64) $27.20

    Seniors (65+) $23.12


    Event Details: Oct 21-22 meet Star Wars characters. Oct 28-29 meet DC and Marvel Superheroes. Wander through a pumpkin patch, find surprises, photo opportunities and many more activities. This season you will have the opportunity to adopt a spooky species which is a zoo arctic wolf for an additional cost of $60
