Outdoors City Adventure - Junior Camp
Join us for summer 2026 at our day camp filled with fun activities

Canoe trip in Humber river during summer camp in Toronto and Etobicoke

This week, our enthusiastic little explorers are set to embark on an exciting journey through nearby nature trails, where they have the opportunity to discover what nature has to offer at local ravines, creeks, and rivers. In nature walks they will gain valuable knowledge on how to adequately prepare themselves for outdoor activities and ensure their wellbeing from various environmental elements like the heat.

Additionally, by immersing themselves in the exploration of these green spaces, they will learn practical ways to incorporate nature into their active routines and lifestyles whenever possible. As the highlight of this week’s activities, we will take campers on an amazing canoe trip, where they will experience a paddle ride along the scenic Humber River.

    Outdoor activities

By exploring nearby ravines, creeks, rivers and trails campers will learn to appreciate the green spaces that the city has to offer and how to incorporate them into an active lifestyle. Creating good habits that encompass interaction with nature are great for their overall wellbeing.

    Self Care

While being active outdoors is a healthy habit, it's also important to be prepared and know how to protect yourself from the environment in order to avoid sunburns, dehydration, heat exhaustion, etc. Campers will learn on how to venture into the outdoors and be safe.

    Healthy snacks & food groups

How do you prepare a yummy healthy snack for a day-hike? Campers will learn how to balance fruits, grains, vegetables, protein, and diary all in one plate? We will finish this session off with making a yummy and nutritious snack surprise for their next hike.
